Christian and I matched on Hinge in the summer of 2023 and he asked me to play tennis for our first date. I had just started taking tennis lessons and was nervous about playing, but when I showed up he was a true gentleman and kept the rally easy and focused on getting to know me (it wasn’t til later that I learned he was the captain of his high school tennis team)! Thankfully, my (lack of) tennis skills didn’t stop his pursuit of me! Our second date was the best: he picked me up early on Saturday morning to grab breakfast in downtown Raleigh before embarking on a 4-mile hike where we discussed everything under the sun… literally, it was like 90 degrees! We decided to go for a swim after the hike and while at the pool he asked me out to dinner that same night… so I went home, got dressed up and he picked me up again: this time for dinner downtown Raleigh! Two weeks later he asked me to be his girlfriend and exactly 11 months from that day, he proposed on the riverwalk in Wilmington on June 21, 2024. We can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of our marriage with you in May!
